Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

There was no escape from the frantic activity and constant noise being passed off as "fun" on this "fun ship." There were virtually no public areas that you could escape to pursue quiet activities. The "Serenity" area was mobbed, presumably by those also seeking some peace and relaxation.

Pros: Shore excursion, staff

Cons: Food was mediocre at best. There were no quiet areas for adult adults to enjoy conversation, cocktails and other peaceful diversions.

Recommends Carnival Elation? No.

Food and Dining
The quality of the food was inferior. The hot food was warm and the cold food was warm. Flavor was bland and boring, even when described by exciting words. There was no magic in the kitchen. The evening dress code was not adhered to and the more nicely attired diners were interspersed with many who should have gone to the buffet in their very casual dress. At least they made the men take off their ball caps.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Staff was friendly and outgoing and many were clearly please to be a member of the Carnival family.
While I did not participate in many, those that I did were enjoyable.
