Carnival Elation

Sail Date: February 11, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

It was cool for most of the trip so the robes in the cabins were welcome. There was NO heat; only air conditioning. Not many interesting activities and some seemed a little disorganized. The food was okay, thank goodness there is always a STANDARD menu. The warm chocolate dessert was GREAT and the tea on one of the days was quite delightful but not advertised well enough.

Pros: The warm robes and the size of the shower

Cons: The cool weather and the configuration of the ship

Recommends Carnival Elation? Yes!

Entertainment
The shows were nice but not much else on the evenings when there wasn't a big production show
Ship Quality
The configuration of the ship made it hard to navigate at times. You might have to go up a floor and then down to get to your destination.
Food and Dining
Nothing special but the service was very good for the most part.
Cabin / Stateroom
Larger shower than most ships. Could have used a chair in the cabin--only a small stool was available to sit on. The robes were a great PLUS!!
Service and Staff
Didn't have much contact with staff. No one was outstanding
