Carnival Elation Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Sail Date: January 09, 2012
Ship: Carnival Elation
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryThis is a smaller cruise ship, so it does not offer the amenities of a larger ship. Restaurant dining is limited to one sit-down restaurant. However, the food and service was superb. The common areas, show lounges, buffet restaurant and pool area are very small and fill up very quickly. You really have to plan to get to the shows at least 45 minutes early to get a seat. The staterooms were small, but very comfortable (window rooms). Bathrooms adequate with very hot water. The crew is above excellent. Everyone was more than willing to help you with whatever you needed. Getting on the ship is a breeze, they collect your luggage right out of the trunk of your car as you pull into the parking garage. Getting off the ship was easy also, but a very slow process. Overall, I would recommend this ship. Even though it is small and doesn't have all the bells and whistles, they do an excellent job with what they have.

Pros: The ship was immaculately clean. The crew members were wonderful, helpful and all very friendly. The food in the diningrooms was fabulous. Enjoyed the omelet stations for breakfast.
Cons: NOT ENOUGH PUBLIC BATHROOMS! WHEN YOU ARE AT THE POOL OR IN THE COMMON AREAS, YOU HAVE TO WALK A LONG WAY, SOMETIMES TO ANOTHER FLOOR TO FIND A RESTROOM. The pool is very small, as is the lido (pool) deck. The adults only deck is also very small, and it would have been nice to have an adult poo
