Carnival Elation Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Sail Date: November 24, 2011
Ship: Carnival Elation
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (young children)
Reviewed: 6 years ago
Review SummaryThe ship could not accomodate the number of passengers aboard. During dining times, the food areas were overly crowded. We waited in long lines to get food and the cooks burned food a couple of days, so the area was smoky. We arrived 10 minutes early for showtimes, and there we could not find a place to sit where we could see. One elevator and one adult hot tub were not working during the entire cruise. We never got a chance to sit in the hot tub because the adult one was always full of drunk people and the other ones were full of children playing.

Pros: The shows were pretty good and the food was good when you fianlly got it. The 12-14 year-old club program was a hit with our son.
Cons: This small ship was very crowded. We waited in lines for 30 minutes to get food. There were big gaps in activities, instructions for participation were not clear. One adult hot tub was out of order, and all the others were filled with little kids.
