A Fair Cruise

Sail Date: September 19, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Inside

At first glance, the ship - The Ecstacy - is beautiful. However, upon closer look, the ship badly needs refurbishing. Upholstery is worn, the decor is outdated and in poor condition in some areas. The service was impeccable and the food was generally good. The evening shows were good. I do not feel that this cruise was not as good as other Carnival cruises we have taken.

Pros: Staff efficiency

Cons: Some of the ports of call

Best restaurant - Jimmy Buffet's.

This port is a waste of time. The ship was docked in the middle of nowhere, overlooking a limestone business. There was really very little to do there. It would have ben much better to stop in Cancun.
