5 Night Western Caribbean (Mobile Roundtrip)
Sail Date: July 31, 2010
Ship: Carnival Elation
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Family (older children)

The Elation is a great ship. Very clean, well organized, well-trained staff. We had five in our room and amazingly we were comfortable. We liked the entertainment - especially the Legends show on the last night. There's lots do to and several places to hang out. Great ship!

Food and Dining

Food was great. It's amazing that that many people can be served, and served well. Our waiters were friendly and efficient. After one or two meals they were bringing us the condiments and beverages they knew we liked without us having to order them. They were amazing.

We had fun. Lots of variety and many places to hang out. The Legends show on the last night was fantastic.

Children's Programs

Our thirteen-year-old had fun making new friends.

Service and Staff

Well trained.

Ship Quality

Very clean. The staff works hard to keep it clean and yet seems to blend in and not be in your way while they do it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean. Roomy - even for five of us in the room.

Good shopping. Great beaches.
Don't Miss: We hired a taxi to take our party of nine to Playa Palancar. $20/pp included the ride, snorkeling and kayaking. Food there was good.

Either stay on board or catch a tour to the ruins. Save your shopping for Cozumel.

Pros: Great staff, service, food and entertainment

Cons: MIniature Golf
