A great quick get away

Room Type: Oceanview

I liked the new ship out of Mobile, AL. It is nice to have a larger ship. It does not have an indoor pool. This was ok on our trip in that it did not rain, but would have been nice to go to cool off. The other two pools are small and this was troubling because of the kids. The rooms and dineing rooms are nice. All of the bars and casino were all nice.

Pros: The ease of this cruise. The Elation is a nice ship

Cons: Need more staff. it seemed that the service staff could really use some help. At times could not get drinks when wanted to

Recommends Carnival Elation? Yes!

Service and Staff
We have been on several cruises and this staff was good but did not go out of their way for you. Easy examples are going to get you a drink at another bar when they were out at the nearest bar. Some of the staff were just not overly friendly like we have experienced before.
Entertainment
The activities that we attended were good, but there were not a ton of things that did not require extra money being spent.
Food and Dining
All the food was good. It would be nice if you ate in the dinning room instead of the buffet that the food was different and changed daily. That is why you eat in the dinning room. The late seating breakfast was a good thing. The pool side grill was great!
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a window room and it worked out great. We loved the room. Good size, clean and comfortable.
Ship Quality
Like I said before, needed bigger pools and an indoor pool.
Cozumel, Mexico
We love Cozumel. Have a place we go eat downtown when we go.
Calica, Mexico
Did not do much on the trip. Went to Tulum
Don't Miss: Tulum is great!!!!
