Unexpectedly Impressed

Sail Date: December 18, 2008

We had only cruised on Carnival once before about 10 years ago (not the Elation), and it was adequate. But, we wanted to give them another chance since they leave from San Diego, our nearest port. We're so glad we did! The food was excellent, the service in the dining rooms was excellent and personal, the cabin was clean and consistently well attended, the music throughout the ship was professional and we were overjoyed! The nightly sushi was fresh and prepared to order...what a treat! Because it was the Christmas season., the ship was decorated beautifully. There were photographers throughout the cruise than we have ever seen on any of our other cruising excursions, so we had plenty of shots to choose from to take our memories home. We loved our cruise and look forward to the next one!

Pros: Wonderful food and excellent service in dining rooms and cabins.

Cons: No cultural or enrichment seminars during the cruise.

Recommends Carnival Elation? Yes!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Beautiful seaport village with lots to do. Clean and friendly residents. Lots of small bars and restaurants with music as we meandered along the sea walk.
Don't Miss: The beaches are fabulous, and a boat trip out to Los Arcos is a must!
