Sail Date: July 09, 2006

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

This was my first cruise and I cannot wait to take another. Embarkation was very easy - and walking on the ship for the first time was very exciting. The setting was magical - When you enter the atrium, it is very bright and inviting, with the music trio playing on the stage. We enjoyed tropical drinks while waiting to sail out of Miami. Very exciting! The week was alot of fun for the adults in our group, who visited the casino and discos nightly and for our teenagers who took full advantage of the teen hangout. I was afraid that the ship would have more for young children and not alot for the 16 and 17 yr olds, but once our sons signed up at Club 02, they were busy , busy, busy.

Pros: All the activities - on board and ashore

Cons: Closed the hot tubs/pools at 10:00 pm

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
This was my favorite stop. The water was outrageous - and the sand was so clean. This is the place to relax. We chilled out listening to the band, sunning and snorkeling right off the beach.

Grand Turk Island
The snorkeling was once again outrageous right off the beach. Saw our first live Conch (a huge one) walking on the ocean floor. We stopped at Margaritaville for a little while - that is a happening place - bright and clean shops all around the pier.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We visited the fort - El Moro - very interesting and the views are outrageous. We ate lunch at Senor Frogs, but we should have gone somewhere that had authentic food - I think it is a place for a younger crowd - probably jumping at night. Lunch was not great. We passed a restaurant called Mofongos and their menu looked wonderful, but we had already eaten! Shopping in the shops in Old San Juan was good - Purchased many souvenirs at inexpensive prices and the atmosphere was enjoyable.
Don't Miss: Take a bus tour as soon as you get off the ship (it is very early so the shops, etc are open yet anyway) We had a great tour guide who showed us around for about 2 hours.

We took a "bus" to Coki Beach for snorkeling. - Thousand of beautiful fish as soon as you walk into the water.
