We have been on 3 Carnival cruises. This was the absolute best. The captain kept us informed about 2 hurricanes/tropical storms, and did everything possible to make us feel at home. The entire crew was wonderful. Embarkation and debarkation went very smoothly. If you follow directions they always do. Personnel were pleasant and friendly. There were a couple of minor irritations while onboard, but nothing is ever perfect. After all we are all human. The food was delicious, but the servings were small. I am glad of that because then perhaps there is not as much waste. And you could ask for more than one of any item, if you chose. For example, they had lobster tail and prime rib on the same night, so I got both. The entertainment was varied, and as usual, spectacular. I never felt rushed and the cruise director Lenny is a terrific singer and a very friendly man. We are in our early 50's and had one son with us--17. He had a blast. We travelled with another family of four and they loved it as well. I don't know what people are looking for, but if they are looking for trouble they will find it. Some people are chronic complainers, but they are probably the ones who are very self-centered. Or very intolerant. The ports of call were great. We swam with the dolphins in P.V. We arranged it ahead of time on our own, since the cruise line does not offer it as tour. Otherwise we basically did shopping. We did not book any tours with the ship because we have found that most times it's more pleasant, cheaper and in our own best interests not to. That goes for all lines. We have travelled on Premier, Celebrity, HAL, American Hawaii etc. Enjoy the Elation. It is wonderful.
