Don't do back to back on this ship

Sail Date: December 01, 2009

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We only had negative contacts with Guest Services. They did not notify us of the requirements to clear each time and inconvenienced us with multiple visits to the desk (standing in line ignoring the Concierge Status we held).
The gym program was also lacking with a less than enthusiatic staff member.
The only salvation for the 3 back to back cruises was the excellent room steward and the fabulous dining room staff.

Pros: The dining room staff

Cons: Inefficiency of Guest Relations

Recommends Carnival Elation? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The food in comparison with the Spirit (4th cruise in Dec. 2009) was markedly poorer. Many dishes were the same but far better on the Spirit.
Cabin / Stateroom
Entertainment
Same shows as last year.
Service and Staff
Your Time Dining Staff all went above and beyond. They knew us and we never had to wait.
