Although we left home 3 days early to enjoy some time in San Diego before the cruise, we were delayed 3 days in Portland, OR. and arrived 2 hours late. At least 3 other parties on our Alaska Airlines flight were also cruising. We all called the emergency hot line and explained our situation. Unfortunately, Carnival does not delay departure. However, upon arrival at the San Diego airport, we discovered Holland America does. We were very disappointed Carnival could not accommodate her passengers as the Holland America cruise line had.

Recommends Carnival Elation? No.
