we went on a cruise on the elation from galveston tx to calica mexico for 4 nights on march 2006. boarding was a snap, we almost never stopped walking, stop for checking in was maybe 5 minutes. we were a little concerned about a rowdy group of young party types. but alas was a none problem. ages ran accross the board, passengers were well behaved and liked to have fun. so much for the negatives i've seen about carnival in other reviews on the net. we choose carnival because we wanted activity (there is plenty) and didn't want an old crowd ever through we're getting there i guess me 59 my wife 55. but young at heart. the food far exceded my expectations (everything was wonderful), and all the staff was very attentive. our cabin was u4 and was extra clean and comfortable. entertainment was fantastic and the music in romeo and juliet lounge was the best. will be cruising with carnival again. i talked to many others while leaving the ship. all were extremely please with the cruise. never heard one negative at all. guess i didn't run into those who nothing pleases.
