Review summary

I took my son on his first cruise May 16th, 2019 on Carnival's Ecstasy for his 10th birthday. It was a surprise for him. He didn't know till we pulled into the terminal. He was so excited. The ship was definitely a older ship but very well maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My son spent most of the cruise in the pool or on the slides. Our room was very spacious for the 2 of us. Our wait staff were awesome! The cruise director Cam was fantastic! I have been on many cruises as this was my 8th cruise. This was the perfect ship for my son's first cruise as my first cruise was also on Carnival when I was 9. I am now planning a family cruise for next year.

That is so cool! I did that a couple years ago for my two grandsons I told them we are going to go to Galveston to watch the big cruise ships Sail Away. They had no idea that I had suitcases in the trunk and we were about to go on a cruise. Best surprise ever they still talk about it
