Review summary

Our first sea day was very very rough. People on the ship said it had not been that bad in years. We only wish someone would have let us know what was going on. The only thing they said was that the entertainment had been cancelled for the safety of the performers. Which was fine and very understandable we just wanted to know why it was so bad.

Food was good but not great, the good thing is if what you had in the restaurant you can go somewhere else and eat something else.

Everything was fun but some things overlapped which makes it hard to do what you wanted to, but you just have to pick and move on.

Our steward, Dedi was the best!! He never let us want for anything. So very nice!!! We were on the Carnival Ecstasy room M229.

Ship Quality

We had heard horror stories about room, but ours was beautiful! The room was very clean and there were literally people wiping down the railings, vacuuming and whipping down the elevators CONSTANTLY. 😊

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of our room was bigger than I had expected and very clean! Dedi cleaned it 2 times a day by wiping down everything. He was absolutely wonderful!

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston was dirtier than I had expected. We used Air B and B we will NEVER do that again. Our host forgot to tell us the key pad for entry was not there. So we could not get in. We ended up getting a motel room instead so we wasted $209. We tried calling and texting to no avail until we were checking out of our motel.

Nassau, Bahamas

The water is beautiful and it was warm which was very nice. But the people working there would not stop bothering you even after we said no thank you. We went to Junkanoo Beach there was broken glass from beer bottles everywhere. Next time we will pay to go to a motel and that beach

Disembarkation

Everything went smoothly. The trick is to not pack too much so you can carry your own luggage off the ship
