So much fun

Sail Date: May 19, 2016

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our first cruise and we had such a fun time.  With that being said, the ship seems to be older looking.  We left from the Charleston Port.  We would never do this again.  They were very unorganized and it was worse than getting through Security at the Atlanta Airport.  Once we got there, we went through a maze of circles in our car for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.  Once we finally got parked, we went through another maze of about 1 hour on the inside before we ever got into the boat.  Most employees before we ever got into the boat were not that friendly.  On the other hand, the employees on the boat were great and very friendly.  The room itself was ok but we didn't expect anything great.  We weren't there for the room.  The toilet was extremely noisy when you flushed it.  The shows were great and there was all kinds of food.  The food wasn't as great as we were told it was but it was ok.  The dessert was great and you don't go hungry.  Getting off of the ship was a chore as well.  They have scheduled times to get off but it was still quite a wait and not as "well oiled" as I thought it would be.  We waited for some time in a line before the process started.  Once off of the ship we got back to our car quickly so definitely quicker than getting on.  We WILL GO on Carnival again BUT WILL NEVER go through the Charleston Port.

Cabin / Stateroom
The cabin was ok but nothing fancy. With that being said, I wasn't expecting anything fancy because you aren't there for the cabin and you don't spend much time in the cabin. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep almost every night. The flushing of the toilet was extremely noisy. This location for the cabin was perfect. We didn't feel the rock of the ship at all. Being closer to the bottom and in the middle was perfect as others had also told us.
