Carnival Ecstasy

Sail Date: November 02, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

The good part was the service was excellent; the food was excellent, the ship was very stable...very little rocking.  The comedy club was really funny.

The bad part is that they have come down to LOW BUDGET cruising.  It's an old ship. We had only ONE electrical plug in the whole room...not even one in the bathroom!  No captain's welcome aboard party...they just stood around shaking hands in the hallway in front of a store called Rolls Royce for picture taking.  The show was a joke.  8 people dancing around to music for both of these so-called wonderful shows.  Used to have famous people on board, magicians, talent shows, midnight buffets;...none of that. Very boring.  Used to be able to get as many lobsters or steaks in the dining room but now you have to actually PAY extra $20 for ONE!  Blaring ethnic music ..catering.mostly to Spanish and black YOUNG people on board....just not our "cup of tea".

Cabin / Stateroom
Having only ONE plug in the whole place made things inconvenient for sure.
Room appeared bigger in the advertisement. The attendant was very nice and polite

Tip

No motion sickness as the weather was good most of the week.
Assumed baggage would be handled between Carnival and the excursion bus people but it was not. We had to stop our excursion to go back to retrieve our bags. We cut short our day sightseeing in Miami after that to the airport for 4hrs.
