We had somewhat of a relaxing time aboard the Ecstasy. The food was very good our Cabin Stewart Ali was wonderful! We had a good experience with almost all the staff on board. This was our fifth cruise second on a Carnival Cruise. Out of all the cruises we have been on this by far had more partiers and drunks. We booked a balcony room and on more then one occasion the noise, (loud music, foul language and carrying on) from another balcony room sent us back inside our room. During our mustard station exercise we had a group that was so loud and drunk we couldn't hear any of the instructions given in case of an emergency. We were woken in the middle of he night by neighbors who were drunk and fighting in the hall and I narrowly missed the remnants of someone vomiting on my way into the restroom by the pool. Our trip was a last minute getaway for some sun and relaxation. We could find some quite spots at the back of the boat outside on the deck where we were often alone and able to talk and enjoy some sun. All in all we made the best of the time we had alone for the weekend without the kids to just enjoy each other and some time away. We enjoyed a hot stone massage on our day in port. Our last Carnival Cruise was on the Liberty with the kids, a bigger ship with more to do and a better overall experience.

Ship Tip

You can find some less occupied areas on the back decks of the boat to eat and enjoy some peace and quiet. The staff on board were always kind and eager to help. If you book a balcony room while in port your view will either be a very close cruise ship or a rusted building with dumpsters along side.
