Our anniversary was a week prior but my husband was in the middle of an 80-hour work week and I'd only have four days off all summer. Coming across this three night weekend cruise, we were thrilled with the price and my husband had never been to Nassau so it was a no-brainer for us. While the kids were with friends and the dogs were with DogVacay, the two of us were able to sleep in, absorb some beautiful sights, explore Caribbean history and dine on delicious cuisine, all uninterrupted. I paid for an ocean view cabin and was so pleasantly surprised to learn they provided us with a balcony, how romantic! Carnival Ecstasy's crew members were very friendly and went above and beyond in answering our questions. We requested "Our Time" dining which did not interfere with our activities or leisure and our meals in the Wind Star restaurant, on the Lido Deck buffet and with room service were exquisite. We applied the Bottomless Bubbles program to our account prior to boarding -- this was to smoothly handle all of my husband's soda and juice cravings with no additional charge. However, we quickly learned that juice was readily available in many locations and a soda order required leaving the cabin to wait in line at the bar because it is not included on the room service menu. This was a disappointment and we won't be participating in the program a second time. Our representative at Cheap Cruises, Jessica Ellis, shared a link and suggested we save money by adding land excursions before boarding as Carnival's prices would be much higher. We took advantage and very much enjoyed our day visiting Nassau and Paradise Island (Atlantis) in our air conditioned van with a local tour guide. We'll certainly be using Cheap Cruises when it's time for us to sail again!

The ship's maiden voyage was in 1991 and the decor hasn't changed. If you can overlook the brass and bright carpet throughout and seek out the pool, whirlpools, variety of dining options, live music, a casino, and duty-free shopping, then you'll have a fantastic time!
