Not So Great

This was our 2nd cruise and we were disappointed with Carnival. Although they are called the "Fun Ship," we found most of our fun was had off the ship not on it. There was very little to do while we were at sea in terms of activities. I did go to the towel folding demo and had a ball. Went to what I thought would be a scrapbooking activity but it ended up being a 3 minute sales pitch. For 5 nights, there were only 3 shows and with the exception of the last night, they were mediocre. Comedians were good. We were booked into the Wind Star dining room. Service was OK and food was OK but neither was something to write home about. Chocolate melting cake was "to die for." Photographer for elegant night took blurry photos and lighting was way off. Won't book another cruise on Carnival.

Pros: Circle "C" for our 12 year old was fantastic. Lots to do!

Cons: Entertainment and food were mediocre at best.

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was clean and sufficient. However, once the upper berth was opened, we could not walk around lower bed.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Food was just OK. Chocolate melting cake was awesome.
Service and Staff
Our Steward was AWESOME!! Most staff was friendly and went out of their way to say Hello.
Entertainment
Entertainment and Activities were lacking. There were 3 shows on a 5 night cruise. The first 2 nights' shows were just OK. Last night was excellent. Activities on Day at Sea were lacking. Enjoyed the towel folding class.
Children's Programs
Circle "C" for our 12 year old was fantastic. Kept him busy most of the time.
