5 Night Key West & Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)
Sail Date: February 04, 2012
Ship: Carnival Ecstasy
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
Serious thought should be given to entertainig the people who pay to cruise. The night the Super bowl was on every bar and seating area on the ship had the game on. No entertainment for people who were not interested in the game. After lining up to get lunch by the time you found somewhere to sit and eat the food was colder than when you first put it on your plate.
This was supposed to be a very special few days holiday for us and we found ourselves quite bored most of the time.
Cabin was comfortable apart from the window vibrating and banging and we had to wear earplugs to get to sleep.
Would cruise with Carnival again but not on the Ecstasy

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Waiters in restaurant were friendly and helpful. Quality of the food was good on average but most nights food was warm and not hot. Very small portion for grown people.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The entertainment dancers and singers were good but the 2 shows were old fashion and therefore did not really show their talents. More entertainment needed in the pool are instead of just two guys playing music for about 15 min.each afternoon
Think more thought should have been put into entertaining guests that were not at all interested in going into the showrooms and bars to see the super bowl on every television set.on the night of the game.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Generally good when we had need to speak to any.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Too many people for such a small pool - for someone who can not swim, like myself, I was afraid to even sit on the side of the pool because of the amount of people in the pool, jumping in the pool, etc.. Virtually impossible to get into either one of the hot tubs because of the amount of people trying to use them.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Stateroom was comfortable and well furnished. Cabin staff kept the cabin clean and tidy. Shame nothing was left in the room telling you the name of your cabin staff - we never actally met ours.

Pros: Some of the food in the Wind Song - cabin was comfortabloe

Cons: lack of entertainment, food in the Lido Resturant,
