Don't stay in a room next to crew bar

Sail Date: January 12, 2012

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was an older model and not nearly as up-to-date as other ships I have been on. The Cruise entertainment staff was extremely cheesy but meant well. The biggest problem with the cruise is that my friends and I were located on the Empress Deck right next to the Employee Bar and we heard music and people coming and going all night. We could not complete since it was the employee bar and they could have taken it out on us.

Pros: Food and comedians

Cons: decor, loud noises

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? No.

Ship Quality
Decor was old but it is an older ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
The entertainment staff was extremely cheesy. The officers did not announce that they would be late to Nassau nor when the boat docked in Pt. Canaveral.
This would be a great cruise to take your children on but there was not much for the adults to do. (The casino is in the middle of the are the children have access to).
