A Wonderful vacation!

Sail Date: December 15, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

This was our third time aboard the Ecstasy. The boat did not look its 20+ had been refurbished since we sailed on it last in 1998. We got a Grand Suite & all I can say is WOW! It was like having two state rooms! The room was not only spacious, but very modern. We also enjoyed the spacious bathroom & walk-in closet.

Pros: The Grand Suite was amazing!

Cons: I would have liked to have more photographs taken at dinner...two of the four nights, a photographer did not come to our table. Also, we felt there were not as many activities available as on past cruises.

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

We felt this cruise lacked activities. On past cruises, we felt we had more choices for activities.
Ship Quality
Although the boat was over 20 years old, it was very clean. All public areas were well kept. We also liked the decor, much better than when we sailed on it in 1998.
Food and Dining
We were a little disappointed in the food choices. We felt that we had more choices on past cruises. Fortunately, everything we ordered was delicious.
Cabin / Stateroom
The Grand Suite was amazing! Very spacious and modern...loved the layout.
Service and Staff
The staff was great! The wait staff & cabin steward took the time to learn our names.
