Carnival Ecstasy

Sail Date: December 10, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The shores we landed needs to be extended longer. At Key West coming back from the Bahamas, we took 3 hours just to get to shore and our visit did not last very long. Checking for citizenship should be done before landing. We only spent 4 good hours at Key West, half the time of eight hours given for Key West. This is also in consideration of transportation back and forth to the ship. Also, the hours at Nassau was very awkward starting from 7 am. Most people do not even go to breakfast until 8 am.

Pros: clean rooms

Cons: food poisoning, shore excursion time spent and prices, expensive drinks

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? No.

Ship Quality
We wish the ship was larger and more open activities.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very well maintained
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Experienced food poisoning towards the end. We think it was the eggs and cross contamination, and foods not being fresh. Additionally, the Wind Song and Wing Star should have longer open hours with two people seating than fitting eight people to a table.
The miniature golf was never available to go on, and the pool was too small with most seats being occupied.
