Room Type: Inside

Great fun and you cant' go wrong. Very, very clean. Forget your diet on this ship since the food and deserts are unlimited.

Pros: The beautiful blue water and how well organized the ship is. They handle a large group of passengers very well.

Cons: Alcoholic beverages are very $$$

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Service and Staff
Very friendly and not fake. They smile and your core group of staff will call you by name.
Ship Quality
The ship was getting a little bit outdated but so very clean. You can see some signs of wear here and there but nothing to worry about. This ship will retire in fall of 2011.
Cabin / Stateroom
Dont invest a lot in your room. We opted for an interior cabin 92M. All the rooms are just for sleeping and that is about it. Very clean. Very comfortable bedding. Kids had two neat bunk beds that drop from the wall and tuck away when not in use. 185 square feet is not big but you are not in the room much at all. Basically one room 9 x 9. The bathroom is tiny but does the job.
Food and Dining
The food is great. So many options and very healthy also. You also can have a huge cheeseburger which is the best! You are on vacation. My kids loved the unlimited ice cream.
Non-stop if you want and so laid back also. You can do every activity all day or just hang by the pool or deck and be on vacation!
Children's Programs
Very aga appropriate and they do not short staff the help.
Cozumel, Mexico
Do not book your excursions directly through the cruise line. It cost so much more. We saved 40% and booked through Shore Excursions group which on the Orbitz website. Take the Cozumel Jeep and Passion Island Adventure. Eli was a fantastic guide. The trip is about 4hrs and well worth the $. You drive a jeep, then a boat ride to the island with lunch and all drinks included. The island is gorgeous with white sand and fills your need for beach time. Also if you are a shopper at the end of the pier there are fun open seating restaurants right on the water and tons of shops. From fancy jewelry to t-shirts you can spend the day just there. It is safe and they take US money.
Don't Miss: Cozumel Jeep and Passion Island Adventure through shore excursions group. Eli is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
