Great for the kids, not our cup of tea

Sail Date: April 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

You can tell it's an older boat. However, it's been recently updated to be consistent with others in the fleet.

Pros: Kids activities, food variety

Cons: Crowded, loud, AWFUL live music selection

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
A little cramped, but that was expected. Didn't clean bathroom as well as they should.
Entertainment
Karaoke was best entertainment, due to the host. Other musical options were awful. Non-energetic, dated song selection, some really bad performances. China lounge only had 2-3 people there at a time. Piano bar singer was really bad.
Ship Quality
Some parts were very dated. Small - or at least it felt small because there were a lot of people on it.
Food and Dining
Good variety in the dining room. Service was really good.
Children's Programs
Service and Staff
Dinner staff was excellent, accomodating. Drink staff was readily available. On another cruise I had problems with staff not leaving me alone - not the case here. Very respectful.
