Ecstasy to Cozumel

Sail Date: March 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

The crew was always working and making the best atmosphere for us. The shows were filled with good talent....better than the reality tv wannabe's....
There were over 700 kids on board and you would never know it. The kids were occupied and parents could relax.

Pros: Start with a day at sea to relax and end with the same to chill prior to getting back to the real world.

Cons: First port was Progresso. Not worth visiting unless you want to see Mayan Ruins.........

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Food and Dining
Much better than I anticipated. I started very aprehensive about "Buffet" eating. Sit down dinners had good variety and tasty dishes. There was make to order food for every meal and the Sushi was out of this world (available from 5 PM-10 PM) every day.
Ship Quality
Ship was old and very well maintained. The staterooms were as clean as 5 Star hotels. The crew was constantly wiping down glass, cleaning floors and asking if there was anything we needed.
Cabin / Stateroom
Not a lot of balcony rooms available and the windowed rooms were very large. Easily fiit 3 adults.
Service and Staff
Exceptional service oriented staff.
Children's Programs
Didn't even know they were there (700+) kids out of 2500 passengers WOW!
