We have been on this ship several times and always love it. The cabin Stewarts and Dining room staff are great! It is not the most 'classy' or 'uppity' cruise line, it is more layed back and casual then some of the other lines, but if you go expecting that you will not be dissapointed. Food is good, TeaTime is our favorite (seadays around 3pm- check the Capers for exact time and location) We love the wine tasting and slots tourney. Progreso is a great port, it is very different than the 'touristy' feel of Cozumel. Progreso is a lazy fishing village with some great little seaside restaruants. It feels more like Cozumel was 15-20 years ago. Not too overdeveloped. We did the ruins the last time and loved it. Be warned, it is HOT and there is much walking, so bring water (they sell it but you will want more) Beautiful. Cozumel is also fun, but is very different than Progreso, you can expect Cozumel to be colorful and full of activites. There is plenty to do on the ship or you can choose to do nothing. Its your vacation and you can choose the activites that suite your tastes. We are already planning to be back on this ship again (for the 5th time!!)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
By and Large, they are very friendly and do a fine job. After a short time many of the staff will reconize you in the halls and will say hello or call you by name! They are wonderful. And you will most likely want to take your cabin attendant home with you!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Big but not so big that you get lost, at least not for long. It just takes a short time to aculimate to the layout. The ship theme is CityLights so there is a lot of Neon and glitz, its all part of the charm

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have been in each catagory, they are all nice. Dont expect a hotel sized room, but for a cruise ship they are roomy. We Love the Ocean Views!! But have also sailed in the Insides,( they are a great value and you are not in your cabin very much anyway) ;)

Pros: Easy to get to Port (Galveston) Great staff, ports.

Cons: Noisey people going down the halls at night. (NOT the cruise lines fault)

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!
