Great first cruise

Sail Date: September 01, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our first cruise for our 25th anniv. My wife was hesitant and worried about getting sick. No problem. We had an excellent time. It took a while to learn where everything was but was not really a problem. Only small problem was our room was near the front but we had to go all of the way to the back to eat rather than the dining room directly above us. Plenty of food, enjoyed both formal dining rooms and buffets on deck. Staff was very friendly and spent plenty of time attending to our needs. Wide variety of ages but ended up eating with 3 other couples our age.

Pros: Food, friendly waiters and stewards

Cons: room at front of ship, dining room at rear. Thick smoke in clubs.

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Food and Dining
Food was excellent, service was great, facilities nice and clean.
Ship Quality
Very clean. Staff kept it clean at all times.
Always something going on. Some activities were too loud (outside music at night) but overall plenty to do. Do wish there was better ventilation in the clubs. Lots of smoke.
Cabin / Stateroom
Had a lower room but staff treated us just like we had a suite. Very comfortable, bath a little small.
Service and Staff
Excellent, Very friendly.
