Ectasy at its Best

Sail Date: April 16, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The Ectasy exceeded our expectations for us as first-time cruisers. The online virtual tours on the website were even better in person and the cleanliness of the ship was a real pleasure with it being kept that way throughout the entire cruise. It was easy to get around and the daily schedules provided to map out your day and night was a great plus. One of the night spots, the Chinatown Lounge was a hit for many passengers both for the service and the entertainers--a very good choice by the entertainment committee. And the singers and dancers in the Blue Shapphire pleased us greatly--good to know that this type of entertainment on the cruise was like attending a stage show on land.
We would definitely reccommend this cruise line to others because of the overall management of the entire trip providing entertainment and food for all age groups.

Pros: Variety of entertainment

Cons: Special show seating limitation

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Ship Quality
Hats off to all the crew for taking their guests seriously, meaning never an issue with cleanliness, service, or smiles!
Food and Dining
We would never consider eating to become a habit but with the variety and staff who provided the service and entertainment in the Wind Song and Wind Star, we looked forward to "dining pleasure".
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Hats off to those who provide service to the vacationers--never a non-friendly face and to have so many countries represented provides an environment of how to work and play together as peers.
Cozumel, Mexico
The beaches and water was fantastic!
Don't Miss: Taking a tour of the entire island-what a beautiful place
Progreso (Merida), Mexico
The Mayan Ruins tour was a must do to really appreciate history and those who came before and those who are around today; the locals demonstrated a lot of pride in their culture. Limited port time did not allow for any other tour or quality time to shop
Don't Miss: Mayan Ruins
