Better than I expected!

Sail Date: April 12, 2007

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Suite

We cruised with our 5 and 3 year old children. We enjoyed being able to drop them off in the secure and wonderfully managed Camp Carnival while we enjoyed the other activities on the boat. We especially appreciated the service from all the crew and the dining was excellent.

Pros: Dining, Kids Program, Service

Cons: Small pools

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Ship Quality
The boat was very nice for a fun ship. Although the layout was a little confusing and took a while to figure out.
The programs were fun and well planned but I think probably average for the cruising industry.
Food and Dining
Great and varied choices. Consistent quality.
Cabin / Stateroom
We stayed in the best room category on the ship so we loved our room and our balcony and our bathtub and our granite counters and our walk-in closet.
Service and Staff
The crew was always smiling and very helpful with questions.
Children's Programs
Loved Camp Carnival! Very safe and organized. Lots of activities for the kids- not just babysitting.
Cozumel, Mexico
Cozumel is what you would expect from a Mexican port destination. Pretty where the tourists go and less so in other parts. The beaches were nice and clean.
