5 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)

Traveled As: Couple

The Ecstasy was far superior to the commonly-held belief that Carnival ships are cheap and fun only! We have sailed the Mediterranean in the Grand Princess but we enjoyed our Carnival Holiday just as much! I couldn't believe the lunch desserts on the Promenade Deck, serviced by smiling and gorgeous staff! The stateroom was adequate in size and our room steward did a superb job in tidying our towels all the time and keeping us so happy! The selection of bars (plus those catering to Smokers) was outstanding! The food was delicious and always perfectly prepared. All in all, we were one hundred percent satisfied. Even docking beside the Grand Princess in Cozumel, did not cause us to feel the least bit of jealousy! Way to go Carnival ( and Ecstasy)

We didn't feel the need to take the shuttle bus into town so visited the wharf shops instead, where we were able to find suitable souvenirs for gifts.

It is such a scenic place that seeing Palm trees and horses with hats is more than enough for a February getaway. Needless to say, the high 80' weather was the best!

Pros: The ship's overall appearance and the classical music trio

Cons: Lining up for evening meal in Dining Room
