Great Time for all . . .

Sail Date: December 21, 2006

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

This was an awesome vacation for our entire family. My husband and I took our 4 children (ranging in age from 18 to 22 years old) on a Christmas Cruise departing Galveston, TX . Each and everyone of us had a wonderful experience. The cruise ship staff is the best and the service surpassed the 5 star resorts I've stayed in on prior vacations. The value for the money was exceptional. I would recommend this cruise to anyone, with or without children -- for both the young and the young at heart. We will be taking other curises in the future!

Pros: the service

Cons: the food in the main dining room

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

There is something to do for everyone -- and nothing to do if you just wish to relax!
Ship Quality
The ship is well maintained and so clean, but be prepared to walk a lot! It is a very large ship -- take good walking shoes and be aware, the decks are very slippery when wet!
Food and Dining
The service in the main dining room was better than any five star restaurant -- but the food was not great! We ate dinner in the main dining room becasue the wait staff was so terrific!
Cabin / Stateroom
We had inside staterooms, they were small but adequate. No more room was required for the small amount of time we were actually in our rooms. This was the best accomodations for the price -- masterful space planning, you will be surprised at how large these small rooms feel.
Service and Staff
Our staff took exceptional care of us . . . especially when the youngest daughter had motion sickness on our first night out to sea!
Cozumel, Mexico
Our family chose to go scuba diving for beginners! The instructors were very professional and our experience has each of us planning to get certified for our next vacation. We plan to do more diving on more cruise adventures
Don't Miss: Don't miss Cozumel, even if you don't take an excursion at least go eat at Casa Denis --
