Review summary

Can't wait to go on the Dream again. This was an amazing ship. The Spa balcony was awesome. We enjoyed lots of time out there. It is great for a quiet getaway, reading nook, sun balcony, late night sky gazing or visiting while in port with other guests hanging over the balconies. Access to the Spa showers and the Spa area is very nice. We didn't use it as much as we thought we would but loved having the access. Also, Deck 11 is a great place to be. We were steps away from all the action and 1 elevator ride from the Main Lobby fun. We dined in the Scarlet dining room and loved our late dining. There is no hurry to leave the dining room and you can really enjoy your dinner, dessert and coffee after dinner. I can't wait to go on the Dream again.

We timed it just right. Arrived right at our scheduled time. It was a fast moving line and we didn't stop until we were on board the ship. Easiest ever.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Everything we ate or drank was great. The food choices were very diverse. We were not a picky group and made the best of everything.

Service and Staff

Everyone was great. Our table service at dinner, our room steward Raquel, all of the staff seemed very attentive.

Ship Quality

The Dream is a BIG ship. We had a great time finding something new every day. This is a "Cruise Ship" I have read reviews about the carpet and the out dated decor. We found the ship to be very clean and very beautiful. We expected the Cruise Ship to be somewhat gaudy and lots of mirrors. That is what makes it so fun. There were staff member polishing the glass and the railings each time we were out. Keep in mind that the ships has thousands of guests for the same week and it is quite a feat for them to keep up with everything every minute of every day. Just relax and enjoy. I think some of the negative comments are from guests who forget they are on a cruise ship and not a land based hotel. There are a few limitations with a floating "hotel". We DID NOT find the ship dirty or out of date. We commented several times how tidy things were. Your on vacation don't worry about laundry or what other people are or aren't doing. Relax and Enjoy.

Had a great time seeing Jamaica. Very beautiful area. Plan an excursion and get out of the port area.

Can't wait to go back. I will definitely plan something in the water here the next time. This port is amazing and gorgeous.

Cozumel, Mexico

I have been to Cozumel several times. It is a great port with lots of shopping, walking, tours and good food.

Disembarkation

Great. We were all in line and "Famous" came through and made our day. He moved us through like VIP's. It was so fun. But even if he wouldn't have treated us like VIP's the process was much easier than my last Carnival cruise. We did self debark. NOTE: this is a ship with thousands of people. Unfortunately people don't always follow directions so there is some confusion and lots of congestion with the elevators. Just don't get in a big hurry and finish your vacation with class.

I always enjoy having a balcony and sit out on it a lot when I cruise. I have cruised on the Dream twice and would sail her again.
