Review summary

We ported out of New Orleans & went to the western carribean . We had absolutely amazing service and the cruise itself was very fun. Not much to do at night but you got used to just relaxing. Overall we will definitely take another cruise again .

Embarkation

5 out of 5
They made it very efficient so we did not have to wait long .

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was great ! Long lines occasionally but you weren't on a real schedule so it didn't matter.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The slides by the pool were a blast and the fitness center was nice.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
They were all great when we knew where and what time they were - that was probably my only complaint unless you head your itinerary with you - you really didn't know what was going on especially for first time cruisers.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our two main servers were absolutely awesome. Very attentive and both seem to really love their job! I can see both excelling in their jobs . Our housekeeper was also very helpful and kept our room very clean.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship layout was fine once you walked around and got an idea, and design was nice too. You can tell it's not the newest ship but still very very nice . All common areas you could see workers cleaning on a daily basis .

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were really hesitant to get a room with no window but with the tv showing you where we were at all times it really was worth saving the few $100 extra it was for a window. It was also great for sleeping being so dark .

Ship tip

I would say just be ready to relax and enjoy. Keep your itinerary handy so you know what shows are going on and do the drink package if you plan to drink !

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

4 out of 5
It was a nice clean port however some of the workers outside directing you were very rude and inconsiderate. I don't think it's appropriate to yell at people when they're not standing in the correct line .

Montego Bay, Jamaica

5 out of 5
This port was very nice actually . We had heard bad things about Jamaica but we really didn't have any issues . We did an excersion through carnival and it was very fun just a little short for the amount of money we paid .

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
The water was so clear and beautiful! We did an excursion not through carnival and swam with sting rays. We also snorkeled. It was a great price and probably the most fun we had. It was upsetting we had to be back at the port so early on this one .

Cozumel, Mexico

2 out of 5
It was very fun! We went to an all inclusive beach resort that had everything we wanted! We played on the enflatables and drank as much as we wanted . The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back to Mr. Sanco's

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We were on the 11th floor and had to be out of our room by 8am which left us literally sitting on the floor by our elevator until 10am because we didn't have anywhere to keep our luggage safe and didn't want to haul it around the ship. Once they called our floor it was quick and easy.

Not much to do at night 😂😂 seriously

Neither are we. Like none of us not at all and found plenty to occupy our time. I wonder what they were looking for.

You are correct things to do other than drink. My wife and I are not drinkers.

We didn't think it had the "booze cruise party" atmosphere at all. Thankfully both times we've been on the Dream it was more families than drunks. But still had a lively night scene. Nightly shows, nightly movies, deck parties, 80's trivia....

We were on the Dream in March and had so much to do at night we ran out of night. GIL 155 is right it's a PARTY ship.

We had trouble fitting all of our nighttime things in on the Dream. Still haven't made it to the comedy club.

I think this may be the first every Carnival review discussing "not much to do at night". PARTY ship!
