Review summary

Food was excellent and the service was first class. The ports of call were fantastic, just not enough time to see more of each stop. The entertainment was very good and the ships amenities were spot on. I would love to cruise this itinerary again.

Room was big enough and was cleaned daily, very happy with the service I Made gave us and loved the "towel animals" left on the bed every day!

Couldn't walk a couple of feet before the vendors were trying to sell you something or a taxi ride no chance to just shop around and look at the stores.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Clean, friendly no hassle walking around and just window shopping until you were ready to go in and shop.

I honestly hope that there are no problems but after reading several comments from other past Cruisers the dream is having propulsion issues and this is causing short time on the islands. I just know it's a heck of a lot of money that we pay to do what is advertised. And if Carnival knows that there are propulsion issues causing excursions to be cut short or not at all then they should disclose that when we book the trip so we can choose if we want to spend that kind of money on a cruise that may not do as advertised

At this point I am just going to be positive and enjoy what comes :)

I spoke to Carnival yesterday and they weren't aware of any issues now or in the past. I doubt they would tell their reps anyway. Even after I told them that there were customers as of yesterday saying their shore times were cut short they and their supervisors couldn't find anything at all. I think that this has been an ongoing issue for quite some time and there is a chance that they will continue to have issues that will affect the Shore time until they get it fixed. I have friends and family sailing on two different dates before I leave and they are supposed to let me know if they have any issues. If they do then at that point I will contact Carnival to see about refunds or discounts

I just got off the phone with a carnival agent. He said yes the dream had an issue this past Wednesday but it has been resolved and no more problems are foreseen for this Sunday's departure from New Orleans

Were the shore excursion times cut short from the times Carnival advertised for being at the islands? I'm curious as to whether Carnival Dream's shore stops are being cut shorter due to ship propulsion issues I've heard they are having which people are saying is making the islands stops shorter so the ship stays on schedule.
