Review summary

This was our 5th cruise with Carnival over the past 10 years and it has really went down hill.  We have always had a great experience in the past. But the boat is not in great condition.  Our room steward was just okay not great like they have been in the past.  We paid for a large aft balcony only to have soot from the exhaust above constantly falling on the balcony turning our feet black and making it unusable if we were dressed for dinner as it would ruin our clothes.  Our room steward did try to clean it but it was constantly falling the entire 7 days. We were also supposed to have a couch in our "upgraded" room but we did not.  We both got food poisoning the 2nd night and spent the next 2 days in the cabin vomiting.  When we went to the doctor we were told he could give us pepto and immodium but if he made a report we would have to be "quarantined" for at least another 24 hours because we were running fever.  Since when is food poisoning contagious. Obviously this is just their way of not having these types of things reported.  The last night some jerk kid threw a bowl of ice cream from the balcony above and the bowl and ice cream landed on me and although another guest reported it to security they didn't even bother to come over to see if I was okay or apologize.  Save your money and fly to a great destination.  By the time you pay for alcohol and all the extra fees they charge you at the end; you will spend the same amount of money. The all inclusive resorts are a better bet for a relaxing vacation!

We still felt bad at this port so didn't stay long but it is not an attractive port. Very industrial looking.

Nassau, Bahamas

We finally felt better and this was a beautiful port.
