The ship was rather lacking in amenities\, and the food wasn't that great. We had a good time because we enjoy sitting around and reading\, but there really wasn't much that we wanted to do. Minigolf was the most fun thing - which is a rather sad statement considering that we are in our early thirties. The pools/hottubs closed at odd and early hours.

Food and Dining

The dining times were great (we did flexible dining). We were very disappointed to find that there was no sushi\, at all\, ever - especially since they advertised with images of sushi rolls all over the place. The food in the main dining was okay but not great\, and the food at the buffets was mostly pretty bad. The Indian place was the only really decent food.. and also the only ethnic cuisine that was done properly. The Mexican entrees were laughably terrible for anyone from the southwest - there was a chile relleno stuffed with broccoli and huevos rancheros were described as filled with \"words you wouldn't understand.\" Service was REALLY slow.

I'm not sure how to answer this. Activities aboard weren't great (2 stars). The shore excursions we did were AWESOME and made the cruise a truly wonderful experience (5 stars).

Service and Staff

Everyone was nice\, nobody went above and beyond.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Moderate-sized\, not huge. Trash in the public areas (patrons would leave stuff on the floor in the corners\, which was understandable because trash cans were few and hard to find). For a seven night cruise\, there wasn't much to do. The shows were bad\, and the other options were basically shopping in two shops\, water slides\, minigolf\, and basketball.

Cabin / Stateroom

Small but comfortable (interior).

Pros: Excursions

Cons: The food aboard was pretty ho-hum\, as was the entertainment.

Recommends Carnival Dream? No.
