Sail Date: August 01, 2013
Ship: Carnival Dream
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (young children)

The ship itself was not the problem. It was the number of people crammed on to the ship that made it less than ideal. There were long waits for buffet lines at lunch and breakfast. This was tough with four kids! The dinner service was painstakingly slow....you were lucky if you got a drink and a roll. The food was not very good.
The common areas were so crowded...no room in the pool. The little kids could not go on the kiddie slides because teenagers were taking them over. Of course\, the teens also were too crowded in the pool so they needed somewhere to go!

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Slow service...overall not great food. Again\, it seemed like the staff was overwhelmed.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
The kids were bored and did not want to return to Camp Carnival.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
So many people made it tough for the staff to keep up with.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5

Pros: Great frozen yogurt

Cons: Long lines for food\, the ship seemed understaffed for the amount of people on the ship

Recommends Carnival Dream? No.
