Had a great time on the Dream
Carnival Dream Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Review SummaryThe ship is large, but easy to navigate. Didn't find the lines too long except for the elevators, especially disappointing when my spouse can't walk and must use elevators, lots of able bodied people crowding into the elevators vs. walking a flight or two. The 3 tiered show room, ENCORE, had only 4 handicapped spots, which able bodied people quickly snapped up, till I complained and better signage was put out, but still only 4 wheelchair spots on that big of a ship??!! SHAME ON YOU CARNIVAL!!!! Also only one handicapped tour in St. Thomas, where the bus was full of able bodied people, my husband had to wait 1/2 hour in the hot sun for the lift operator, and was overheated and too ill to get out at the first stop. Otherwise, enjoyed the show, especially the dance show. Won playing slots, but casino was smokey for non-smokers. Enjoyed the other lounges and music available, again hard to find seating for wheelchair bound spouse. We are Carnival Gold travelers and never waiting so long to recieve our dinner at the early sitting. Servers seemed overwhelmed, perhaps cut backs?? Dinner took almost till the 8pm seating, never ever have had such a long meal. Food was ok, not great, but plenty of choices. Enjoyed the sandwich shop, and pasta bowl. Mongolian grill was disappointing after quite a long wait, not much flavor. Pizza was NY style (thin) and always a wait. Serenity Adult sun decks were very full, hard again to find seats. Disappointed there was no Adult pool. And again no lifts for handicapped.
