Fun in the sun on the Dream

Sail Date: May 19, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

We had fun in the sun, I can't say this was my Dream Ship, but we had a good time overall. Port arrivals were to early (7 am and 8 am) if you enjoyed the night life.

Pros: Comedy Club, Massage, St Thomas, St Martin

Cons: Food

Recommends Carnival Dream? Yes!

Food and Dining
Eat in the dinning rooms or enjoy the bar b que on the Lanai. Main area on Lido deck was not good and had a strange smell around the buffet area. 8:15 pm dining is too late. On the 1st night we did not finish dinner till 10:45 pm. Slow service.
Ship Quality
The ship seemed very small because of the number of guests and the decor (dark colors, old time wall paper, narrow hallways, short ceilings). Dinning areas were very cluttered.
Entertainment
Space for entertainment was too small, could not handle the large numbers of guests. Encore shows were below average. Comedy club was great! Piano bar was fun.
Cabin / Stateroom
Good size room for 3 adult guests, great service, cute towel critters at the end of the day.
Service and Staff
Most of the staff went above and beyond.
