A good cruise

Sail Date: September 24, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

The Carnival Dream certainly has a lot to offer. Its spaces are well subdivided, meaning there's likely something for most people to find and enjoy, in terms of activity etc We were in one of the "spa" cabins, meaning we had free access to the thermal suite. That's a treat!

Pros: Food in "The Gathering" (Lido buffet)

Cons: Noise level, Dining rooms on Carnival ships now offer the same menu every day of the cruise

Recommends Carnival Dream? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
We had a couple of needs (eyeglasses needed adjustment, an adapter plug, 110-USB and couldn't get help for either.
Food and Dining
Ship Quality
The newness of the ship, the atrium, and general decoration make for a great impression. Saw folks cleaning regularly in all public areas.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
St. Thomas has great beauty and lots of good places to explore and shop.
Don't Miss: Island tour with mountain top stores.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Island tour with stops for photography and shopping. Great views.
Don't Miss: Butterfly farm
Nassau, Bahamas
We did the straw market and a few shops; suffered due to hurricane damage from the summer, so some discouraged sellers.
Don't Miss: Atlantis tour -- son and roommate did that and greatly enjoyed it.
