There were 3 days at sea and not enough entertainment for the middle age people who do not want to 'go dancing.' The only entertainment provided for the middle ages were at night. They let young kids in R rated comedy shows when there weren't enough sits for the adults. The kids were not contained in any room or place - they were allowed to run the ship w/o supervision - running up and down the halls, playing on the elevators, up until 3 am 'hanging with friends.' There was no one instructing people on hand sanitizing and I ended up with bronchitis at the end of the cruise - then had to go directly to the hospital after I got home because the medical charges on the ship do not accommodate insurances ot more then on patient at a time - Dangerous. I have been on multiple cruise lines but never Carnival. I have never lacked for anything to do on sea days because there was always some sort of entertainment that was funny, or interesting - carnival is all about the pictures, gambling and alcohol. I understand that is where their big money comes in but they were definitely lacking in the day time entertainment areas. Letting kids run the ship w/o supervision is dangerous. Every cruise I have been on has activities for the kids and they kids cannot leave that area without the appropriate adult's presence.

Food and Dining

2 dining rooms with the same menu sucks - should have a variety.

That area was great during the evenings after 8:30 but during the day - there was NOTHING for us to do except sun ourselves and being fair skinned - I can only do that for an hour or so.

Children's Programs

Definetly sucked. The program was 'come on in if you want, otherwise, run all over the ship annoying everyone who actually paid to come on the ship.'

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was very helpful and friendly for the most part. Had an issue with one individual but reported it to Guest services. Then found out he was one of the performers.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Should be a pool in the 'Serenity Area' as well as more cushioned chairs to sit in since apparently this is where ALL the parents are while their kids are running wild.

Cabin / Stateroom

State room had ONE (1) electrical outlet that was compatible for our appliances. The other two (2) plugs needed a converter. Received no informaiton about that and with 2 people in the room with phones, nooks, and hair appliances - doesn't work!

Pros: It went to the Southern Carribbean

Cons: Kids ran out of control, Not enough entertainment for the middle age, poor sanitizing efforts, 2 dining rooms with same menus,

Recommends Carnival Dream? No.
