A FUN cruise

Sail Date: May 01, 2011

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Ship was pretty - modern 50's style. The comedians were funny and the shows were nicely done. The main band was great - the others left room for Improvement. The main singers/dancers were ok - the four hip hop ones were
good. Felt pretty jipped when it came to the food. Finally found burrito bar and then people had to tell me you had to ask for chips. Only burgers and pizza at night - was looking for desserts and small snacks. Desserts were available but you had to pay. The "shopping and other seminars" propaganda were misleading. I get you have to try and get people to come but I felt like I was constantly being sold to - very distasteful.

Pros: Snorkeling and the comedy shows

Cons: Lots of activities/food cost extra. Didnt like being sold to.

Recommends Carnival Dream? Yes!

Service and Staff
Dining room staff was awesome. Even breakfast - my daughter wanted pineapple and they didn't have any. The one waiter found some and brought her a whole plate of pineapple. The evening staff made a point to
Remember our names, drinks, and likes. Very impressed with them. Other staff was ok.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nice cabins - excellent water pressure in the shower! Bed was comfy. Clean and nice layout.
Children's Programs
My teenagers went once and wouldn't go back again. They met friends but guess not good enough time to go back.
Entertainment
I thought sea days lacked variety. Activities cost extra. Movie times conflicted with shows for family things. Pictures were crazy expensive and such a waste of resources/paper. If you could view on line and chose options i would have purchased. Would have saved environment and
Probably more profitable.
Food and Dining
Food was good. The wait staff at dinner was great and enjoyed the entertainment. No midnight buffet - disapointed in lack of snack options. Room service was limited - example - just wanted some chips/snack food and
Couldn't. Popcorn would have worked but it was $1.50. Ridiculous.
Ship Quality
Ship was always clean - decor was nice. Wish they had a map
They gave out in the beginning
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Have to snorkel out to Buck island. Downtown was ugly but cool to see it all
Don't Miss: Snorkeling.
Nassau, Bahamas
Dirty place and dangerous. Do an excursion and don't buy one off the streets - people got robbed and stay away from shopping - the shop got robbed.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Much cleaner place.
Don't Miss: Tiki hut snorkeling!!
