President's Day week....Big mistake

Sail Date: February 19, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Not enough public space/chairs for the amount of passengers on board. The days at sea were not at all relaxing, because of this fact. The shows were marginal. The food was good and the wait staff very good.

Pros: Food, room, wait staff

Cons: Too big of a ship! 4600 passengers-1500 of them children on break. The children took over! No parental supervision, which I found scarey. The hot tubs were full of children, the pools were full of children, the chairs were reserved with no one in them for hours on end. No place to relax for man

Recommends Carnival Dream? No.

Ship Quality
Our dinner and the comedy show and the main show overlapped so it was hard to enjoy. The main show was pretty poor. 2 singers were marginal. Dancers good! Magician excellent!
Children's Programs
Like I said, no one supervised the children! Parents or Staff! They were allowed on the serenty deck and in the hot tubs, which was suppose to be for adults only!
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Main dining room was very good. The buffet was always crowded and chaos!
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was on the back of the ship with nice windows overlooking the wake of the ship. Enjoyed that. The noise while getting into port was very loud.
