Carnival Dream no place to Dream

Sail Date: January 01, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

Ship has design fault, poor or little sound proofing between prominade deck lvl 5 and staterooms lvl. 6 there is no dreaming on the Dream until 2AM. none in the after noon either, if you book choose your stateroom carefully, when I called ship maintainance they offered ear plugs, this was my 44 cruise number 5 with Carnival, the first time ever we could not sleep!!!

Pros: Ship clean, modern, food good, lobster great, tandori indian food excellent, sushi bar excellent, crew very friendly.

Cons: our stateroom 6389, was located over prominade deck, music from club came right into room pillow would thump and bed vibrate, no sleep for seven nights, even in afternoon hours, a new ship should be sound proofed properly, engineering screwed up on this important detial,if you book ,be aware of room
