Ship: Carnival Dream
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Large Group

Balcony has 5th deck extending about 20ft around ship so you have people walking, jogging, laying in sun and barbequeing going on under your balcony. No privacy or direct view to ocean. Long lines for everything. Having to walk from one end of ship to other to see shows after dinner, that did not accomodate all wanting to see them. Bigger isn't better. I will never sail the Dream or any ship this big again.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was overall very good. Should place guests on end of ship where their room is. Very difficult for guests w/ ambulatory problems moving from one end of ship to other for eating and shows.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great shows and comedy club if you are able to get seats.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff friendly and accomodating.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Layout terrible. Too many long lines and rushing to get to shows that may or may not have seats available.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Excellent stateroom and staff. Exception: Balcony! Would never pay additional for balcony on this ship.

Atlantis is pretty, but charges to see aquarium, and some areas. Last time I was in port it was free.

Same ole stuff. Souveniers and such. If you don't take an excursion, not much to see close by.

Pros: Entertainment, Food

Cons: Layout of whole ship from cabin selection to lack of room to accomodate number of passengers booked.

Recommends Carnival Dream? No.
