Like I stated earlier, there were more people aboard then they could give quality service to. For example, the two formal dining areas (Crimson and the Scarlet) have a seating capacity of 2,024. Thats 2,024 for the early seating and 2,024 for the late seating -- for a grand total of 4,048. Since the ship has 4,633 paying customers that leaves 585 with no formal dining room accommodations. We fell into that category and were put on what I call a waiting list. Carnival has coined a phrase to cover this know as Your Time Dining. This allows you formal dining privileges from 5:40 to 9:30, but only when seats become available. Your only hope is that someone does not show up for dinner, or that someone would leave early. Even when seating became available, there was no assurance that you and your spouse would be seated together. Normal wait time for seating was approximately 30 minutes.
Pros: Ships decor is beautiful; with the atrium being truly breath taking.
Cons: The ship was just too big 4,633 paying customers plus a crew of 1,367. Their on board facilities (the two formal dinning rooms and the Encore Theater) do not have the capacity to handle that many people.
