This was our fourth family cruise. The kids' program (Camp Carnival) is what brings us back every time. We have a mildly Autistic son, and appreciate that they accomodate special needs of all kinds. The Itinerary (Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Maarten) offered great opportunties for family excursions and when we were on the ship, both our kids begged to go to the Camp Carnival activities, which allowed Mom and Dad plenty of couple time!

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Although cruise cusine is mostly buffet and mass-consumption, Carnival's quality of food has improved over the past few years. We were pleased to see that this ship offered the best we had seen so far. We have cruised on Royal Carribbean (which is often lauded for the great food), and feel that the Dream's dining met or exceeded what we saw on RCL.

Carnival added a "Comedy Club" to this cruise, and i was a massive hit! The room was packed for every show, and everyone enjoyed it! The large stage shows were super - high-quality production and amazing singers and dancers. There was a break-dancing show that blew us away! This was a wonderful surprise, because the other stage shows from past cruises were just "meh".

Children's Programs

The reason we keep coming back. The staff is TOTALLY engaged, the activites are varied, and scheduled to accomodate plenty of family time too. The kids' facilities are pristine and CLEAN as can be. We feel Camp Carnival is one of the reasons the line is so successful!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff member would leap up to help us, everyone looked up to say hello, and for the most part, they would even remember our names when they greeted us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well-laid out and organized. Lots of space to find a chair and enjoy the sun or pool. VERY CLEAN - the staff is constantly cleaning and there are hand-sanitizer stations EVERYWHERE.

Cabin / Stateroom

I cannot stress enough the VALUE of getting a Cat 12 (Penthouse). It is a comfortable, large, well-furnished room that is still less expensive than the much-smaller RCL junior suite.

Pros: The shows were high-quality productions, the service was exceptional, and the ship was efficient and spotless.

Cons: Would appreciate more late-night entertainment options.
