Stateroom temperture too warm

Sail Date: September 17, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Cruised on this ship's second voyage in 1996 and saw the ship in new condition. Obviously can tell the ship is 16 yrs old but was still in good condition. Dining and bar staffs were fantastic! Food choces were much better than recent Carnival cruises I have been on with newer ships.

Pros: Dining and wait staff\, new singer in the piano bar

Cons: Room temp was very uncomfortable in #9209. Temp me Carnival spec (72~76F) but air flow was poor and temp measured at 73F. So staff would not work to adjust/improve. Was much warmer than the room of our traveling partners.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Room temp of #9209 was too warm for us and measured at 73F (Carnival spec is 72~76F). Would not try to adjust/improve even though we were very uncomfortable. Temp in our room was significantly warmer than temp in the room of our the couple travelling with us.

New piano bar singer was excellent!
